Vive como si fueses a morir mañana. Aprende como si fueses a vivir para siempre.

The roots of the Notting Hill Carnival in London began in Trinidad where the first carnival was held in 1833 to mark the end of the slavery in the Caribbean.
During the late 1950s , many Caribbean immigrants travelled to the United Kingdom, taking with them their culture, musical traditions and cuisine.
The first carnival in UK took place in 1964 when black and white people went into the streets and expressed themselves socially and artistically. Today this carnival is recognised all over the world and is one of the greatest street festivals.
More than a million visitors watch the thousands of artists perform on the last weekend of August, when this festival takes place.
